Travel along the Coast of Croatia

Pro Tip #1 : If you’re near Croatia, go visit.  Pro Tip #2:  If you’re far from Croatia, make it happen anyway.

Seriously though, Croatia is one of the greatest countries. My “6 day plans” quickly turned into a month & apart of me still wishes I stayed longer. One reason for it’s pure lovableness (weird but don’t know how else to describe it LOL) is that it has everything for all kinds of travelers. Nature, art, history, culture, beaches, nightlife, and more.

I traveled along the coast starting at the top as I was coming from Piran, Slovenia–another Balkan Gem. Croatia became a special getaway, with every coastal town adding something unique. So, here’s the MUST GO TO’s along the coast. Go visit and feel the magic guys ::

Pula

I remember, the hostel worker, referred to this city as “magic” for her. And after the first day, I felt it. It’s charm, quaintness, but also rich history and kind people. It’s known for festivals, cuisine, and it’s arena, basically a smaller, well-preserved version of the Colosseum in Rome. As the largest city within Istria, it’s managable to explore on foot & with tons of nearby day trips, the central bus stop is easy to navigate!

Rovinj

Premantura

Located on the southern tip of the peninsula, many people camp here, alongside the tons of untouched beaches. With cliff jumping, hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, and more, this spot is ideal for the outdoor traveler or the journaling kind! When I went, I hiked along the beach and the views are just gorgeous! Most common way of transport is car, however, there’s a bus from the Pula’s main station. Make sure to take line 26 or 28!
